First of all, don't think that this is another question. I am serious because of recent events.

My whole life i have been a fairly quiet person. I never yelled back at anyone (maybe only my family). I always gave respect to people, and only joke around once in while.

I am a junior in high school and as i look at things, people who mess up (get bad grades, yell at teachers, and get in trouble) get the same or better than me.

The way i see it, teachers don't say much to them, because they don't want that person to yell, get mad, or "black out". However, when only once in a bit i do something, i get the worst possible situation (at least thats what it seems like)

I hope i don't seem crazy asking this, but is it just in my head, or has all of this niceness and politeness gotten me nowhere.

Does anyone else have experience with this?

The reason people are nice to others is cause its the best cheep high available.

Btw - if you are getting a hard time when you arent nice (even a little bit) that is good. It means either that people expect better of you, or the universe (god, fate, karma, higher power, infinite, whatever) expects better of you.

Bad news is when you do bad stuff and nuthin comes to pull you up short. Just means you are really in that groove.

No you have come to know what many have found out as well.
Once on a job where I worked my buns off to try and make a showing and get the best result I noticed it always seemed to back fire. I would have to always do the extra work because they knew I would do it without hesitance. But the lazy guys would still get the same pay and sometimes they would even get better pay
yet I worked harder and longer. They would always be sent to do the easy jobs because if it were hard they wouldn't half way do it and it would take them an extremely long time to get the job done.
And they would always fuss and complain. The bosses didn't want to mess with them. So they would come to me with the hard jobs and I would do the hardest work and get nothing more for it. Well it wasn't til I came to know the Lord that I realized why.
God doesn't bless the do gooders He blesses those who by Faith ask Him for what they need and want. The do gooders just reap what they sow. If you want the best in life to come to you ,
You must increase your Faith. Strengthen your inner man. Conscientrate and meditate on POSITIVE thinking and Thoughts.
Tell yourself that your are a giant with the help of your maker continually. As you do this over months at a time you will become that giant inside and life will change for you. You will begin to do things that you didn't know you could do. It will begin to flow out of you as a river flows. But you must fortify yourself with the truth, not feeling or assumpton of how you feel. Sickness will leave you and you will be changed.

Be the best that you can be, and get on with life. If you worry about the scorecard, you are doomed to a dismal life.
At the same time, being nice never hurt. You do not build an empire by walking all over the people around you. If they do not respond in kind, that is their problem. You are you. Be the best you can be, accept that, and get on with life. By the way, the past is passed. If you get scrunched from time to time, get over it. It is passed. done. over. live in the here and now, and be the best that you can be.
