because he thinks he has what he wants, and isn't thinking clearly, doesn't know he will one day be so sorry. he also throws things away because he really doesn't value what he has. thinks he has to throw it all away to move on to whatever he thinks will give him the happiness he is seeking. he is selfish, self serving and can only see the now, and can't see the future and how it may affect his choices.

Because he is not thinking straight and he is selfish and wants more then what he already has at home and in life. Some people are never happy with what and who they have in life and they always want more. Very sad but true.

If he's thinking only of himself, he may not see what he has and think he needs something and doesn't care who it hurts or doesn't see that it hurts someone else.

because he doesn't know how to treat the wonderful person that puts up with his crap. he doesn't realise how good he has it, and if he does, he's afraid he doesn't deserve it.
