on the internet? Can you believe such stuff is going on?I mean animals are living breathing things and they are being bought and shipped all over the US for loads of money making these breeders rich and greedy.I love animals but I am sorry I do not feel any animal should be sold are bought over the internet without ever seeing the animal are visiting the breeders house and picking up the animal yourself. That is just asking for trouble and also I dont know of any animal dog or cat that is worth the money that is being asked for them.Maybe if they have a good pedigree and are show and will be shown I might would consider paying in the $500 range but I have seen on websites where breeders are asking over $1000 for animals with no pedigree with any Ch. in them at all. Please dont support this selling animals over the internet. It makes breeders greedy and will lie to you in order to sell there animals for big bucks just because they know they can.

i am a breeder and have been debating this.i have come to the conclusion that for me it is wrong, unless its in a local news site so i can meet the people who are taking my pups.i want them to go to loving homes.i require references.i am not against breeding because if not for a loving breeder i would not have my litlle cuties.i guess i breed to share that joy with someone else.when you see a litlle kid get its first pup it is magical and something changes in that child for good.people should definatly not breed for love of money but if you get a rare color the price is higher and i do not object to this. alot of time and money go into each litter, if a person is a good breeder.you have to take them to the vet,get shots, deworm, get papers, gas for all the travel, food and time.this is some people living-some people cannot do other things.my daughter is autistic working with other humans poses some problems but she loves animals and can function very well with them.i do not endorse greed or puppy mills.having a pedegree like akc shows the lines to help prevent in breeding.i would be leary of anyone selling without papers because akc is strict they require a lot and if someone has a dog without papers you dont know what you are getting.and as stated earlier these little jewels do take up time and money so a legitamat breeder should be fairly compensated.oh thanks for not agreeing with leslie.

I think that educated moral breeder are okay... As for selling dogs I know most people take better care of a animal when there is money involved.... All pets should be sold never given away... ( ASPCA) My whole life growing up I laugh at the people buying pups ,it just didnt make any since.. Mutts are great dogs... 2 years ago I bought my first Great Dane and worth every penny....
I dont beleive in shipping dogs its to stressful
a pedigree is just the breeders way of saying they know who the parents are.. some breeders lie I only go by the AKC working standard
french bulldogs are very expensive to raise they are sold for 2600
they cant have pups the normal way so they have to have them insemenated and they usauly have to have c-sections and they there litters are really small

regulations? The respected way of going approximately it incredibly is to mentor with somebody who's an outstanding breeder now, a member of the breed membership. they're going to practice you what to look for in a skill stud or broodbltch, and why you are able to use them. the assumption is to no longer make greater canines, yet to make greater proper canines. The cardinal rule alwyas is to have the skill to take lower back ANY canines you place on earth, for all times. whilst you're no longer prepared to try this, then do no longer make any greater. look for out a member of the membership for which you prefer to reproduce, and be taught all you are able to. they're going to tutor you the way.

i strongly agree with you i am a animal activist and strongly agianst puppy mills they do not treat the animals well and they become very ill none of the animals should be bought when you buy animals from pet shops where do you think they come from.....puppy mills thats no way animal should ever have to go thru they even become mentaly ill and deppresed from the way they get treated. if anyone really wants those animals the should be goning to animal shelters instead. go to peta2.com for more information on this problem!!!!!

I think for ANYONE to breed animals is the most selfish and ignorant thing in the world. It's just like people having kids ... they just do it for self gratification. Who cares if an animal has a pedigree! For God's sake ... there are so many sweet, innocent, and uncared for animals in the world ... to try to create exactly the kind that you want is just the height of selfishness. It is pathetic and humans make me sick with this kind of thinking.

Should be outlawed..there's plenty of people "breeding" dogs in every town.......in fact breeding for profit should be banned period.....there millions of animals that need homes as it is.
My 2 dogs and a cat came fro a shelter.....a german sheperd and a shitzu..being pure bred you would think they wouldn't be there.
