bcos they are designed to circumvent spam protection systems which are based on keywords.
like sex, viagra etc are automatically filtered by most spam checkers
they replace i with 1 and letter 'o' with zero '0' etc so on
and make deliberate phonetic mistakes so that the words sound the same or atleast you are able to understand their meaning while still they are able to bypass some antispam protection filters.

you saould not open spam email just delete it some email like that has a virus in and when you open the email the virs is on your computer
