why is it that a racist is only a british person?

i am british and i have heard foreign people say racist things to brits but we cannot do anything about it but as soon as we say something racist we get into big trouble what would the difference be

Disrespect given on a religious, ethnic or national basis is racist.
Of course, people can be racist against us Brits, and when they are they offend me as much as any British racist. Racism is a mentally weak and cowardly self-indulgence by people who have genuine psychological problems. It is NOT a functional thing and racists are NOT good people. Though, of course, one person's racist is another person's patriot.

We should judge people by their qualities as human-beings and not by any other measure.

We should not say racist things in this country, its bad-mannered and crude, and, in turn, people have no moral right to racially abuse us.

I know the British i have come across online have called "Aussies" names, saying we are the trash they didn't want there.. And we are nothing but a bunch of thieves etc.

But in Australia we are called white scum for taking over the land. So either way i don't feel we win either.

WELL SAID....I agree with you, in other countries we are expected to follow certain guidelines, a few countries wont even let foreigners in, who can blame them, in Britain, because we are allowing all those other nationalities in we are becoming swamped and Brussels are not even allowing us the freedom we have always had,, no more wearing crosses, no more Christmas, bananas are too curved, there has to be x amount of black people in programmes and adverts, were we asked if we wanted all those people in our country, not likely, now we have ' civil rights ' and ' human rights ' shoved down our throats we are becoming the second class citizens while immigrants are taking precedence to our society, homes and social benefits, our government is trying to force us into adoptng American values ..we have no say in the matter..its time we stood up for ourselves .

In America Black people rape white women fifty times more than a white person raping a blackie. However, the law considers white on black crime as racist, while blacks are immune from any charges of racism. The reason for this is that whoever makes up the minority of the population has to be protected against those who make up the majority.

I spent time in Nigeria a few years ago and they were very racist people, the same on hols in Tunisia, a shop owner called me "sl*ut and fish face", in Arabic,coz i refused to enter his shop, hubby works in these countries and understood him! So he had a shock when he respond back in his own language!
