Unless you have absolutely perfect legs, never wear white stockings. They do tend to make even the nicest legs look fat.
Go with a skin tone; better not to bring attention to your legs during an interview.
Good luck!

I would strongly advise you not to wear the white stockings. I'm sure the suit alone will look very nice, but the white stockings would make the person interviewing you do a double take. Then, when they are trying to figure out whether you're a good candidate, all they will remember is the stockings and how awkward they seemed. I would go with nude stockings, or if the skirt is below the knee, then you don't have to wear them at all. And yes, it is a faux paux to wear white stickings with a suit. Good luck with your interview. Just remember to smile when you shake their hand, and make sure it's a good sturdy hand shake, not a flimsy one that many women like to give.

You read right! White stockings are nearly always a fashion faux pas, and they are always a faux pas for business attire. Wear sheer off black, Navy or coffee, not white. They look like Sunday school attire, unless they are worn with a nurses costume with a garter belt.

Never wear white stockings for business, they make you look immature and non-business like. Wear dark tan or off black stockings, of navy if you can find them, and as sheer as possible. Thicker stockings are too casual looking for business attire. Do not wear bare legs unless you are interviewing in Southern California, where they have no sense of style anyway. It is very slovenly to not wear hosiery in a business setting, and in some places of business totally against the rules.

White is just a little severe for legs in a navy outfit. Stick with nude for a professional appearance. When you interview, you want them to notice you and not your outfit...that's why you play it conservative but not conspicuously so (if that makes any sense). The less distracted by your clothes the interviewers are, the more they'll notice your interviewing strength.

Faux pas? Ridiculous.
If a woman comes to my office in a dark blue suit with bare legs, its likely not going any farther. Its professional and its expected. Men may not say it, but its expected. Besides, dont you want to look good?

I'd advise you against it. Go with a neutral tone. White or Black stockings do not look good at all. After all, your image is your first impression: don't make the wrong one!

i would wear black stockings and if your gonna wear stockings, they should match your skin tone, don't just wear white stockings and a dark outfit cuz that doesn't look right.
