If you're ever in a car accident, the tinting will save you from having the glass shatter all over you.

I agree with the last answer of helping the glass not shatter all over. Other benefits are cooler interior which also effects your a/c output which in the end helps your gas. Not a huge noticeable gas increase but anything helps now days. Also the sun's UV rays will still damage your interior but not as bad or as fast. Tint or no tint the suns uv rays are powerful and can penetrate almost anything. Another thing that you may benefit from personally is a better all out appearance of your vehicle. Last is safety. Anything you do not wont seen will not be depending on the percent tint you want and also its harder for robbers to see in your vehicle to see if anythings worth taking.

Tint helps as far holding back the sun rays but a piece of advice is , if you do have the windows tinted, make sure they comply with the State DMV or you may be helping to pay for a new police motorcycle or squad car.

the tint keeps my car real cool. Keeps the sun out. At night time when a truck comes behind me i dont have to worry about their lights being real bright because the tint blocks it out.
But since it is 2.5 % it is real hard to see out of at night and i got a 250 dollar ticket for it once

Umm, cooler inside of the car? I am from Tucson, AZ originally, and that is why we used to do it.
