Restart it or turn it off for a while. Maybe you have been using it a lot. Thats what I do when my computer is slow.

Run your defrag program or do a disc clean-up. Go to www.filehippo.com and download the CCleaner program and run that. They also have a free registry clean-up program called WinASO Registry Optimizer you can download and run.It all depends on what the problem is.

you may need more ram (memory)
have you done a defragmentation
or disk clean
or may be you are running too may programs at the same time

add ram is the cheapest way to help your comp. run faster

Empty Windows Temp files. -
Delete browser cache... (if using IE, go to TOOLS, INTERNET OPTIONS and choose delete browsing files, cookies etc)) -
Run an anitivirus scan. -
Defragment!!!!!
reboot after doing all this

It's probably full of spyware. Use a spyware remover like Avast.

do a spyware scan, virus scan and defrag. Go to www.pcpitstop.com for a full system dianostic check.

defrag for hard drives; start -> p[rogra,s -> accessories -> system tools -> disk defragmenter

Get rid of spyware (use adaware, or spybot)

Uninstall unwanted programs (start -> setting -> control panel -> add/remove

Unload unneeded start programs (i.e. quicktime, itunes, winzip, touchpad, etc.)
