Volcanos exist below ground. glaciers occur below ground. There's a vast temperature difference in only a few miles between above ground and below.

Glaciers because of its extreme northern position. Volcanoes because it stradles the mid-Atlantic ridge which is an extensional zone characterized by active volcanism.
The Cascade Range in the Western US has both glaciers (due to elevation) and volcanoes associated with a subduction zone. Same kind of co-existence in Peru.
the heat of volcanoes is very localized, it doesn't make the ground too hot for snow except near a vent or when the volcano is actively producing lava.

if an acitve volcano is not near the glaciers the heat of the volcano wouldn't have any effect I think that glaciers exist mainly
on greenland though if the volcano was in active it wouldn't really matter anyway

The addition from that ONE glacier HAS raised the international sea point, yet via this form of small quantity it won't be in a position to be detected. you are able to desire to evaluate the quantity of ice being melted, against the dimensions of ALL our oceans. in case you place an ice cube in an Olympic swimming pool, it is going to boost the water point in the pool, yet no longer adequate that anybody can see it or diploma it. Now, think of if that ice cube became placed right into a pool the dimensions of Texas -- comparable ingredient, yet much greater so. it incredibly is the actuality that each and every of the glaciers in the international are melting that has been elevating the sea point incredibly. including 1000th of a p.c. greater is negligible. BTW, we won't avert the volcano; we are in a position to give up spewing greenhouse gasses into the air on the fee we've been doing.
