I can't even explain what it means to me. When i read it feels real and i wish it was. Anyone wish to share their thoughts on the subject?

It was the same for me with dragonlance books, hence the name raistlinn, I love the characters in the book but he always stood out, who wouldn't want to live in a fantasy world with dragons and wizards and a life that actually sounds exciting, that kind of excitement just doesn't exsist anywhere but in books or in your own mind.

I actually really enjoy harry potter books because it is the most creative series i have evr read. i wish that it was true sometimes and that there is magic in the world. The books help boost your imagination and reading them makes me feel excited. i find myself in a good mood when the characters are happy and enjoying there time and in a bad mood when they are fighting. every time someone dies i cant get over it .it is as if it really happened. but yeah thats waht a good book does to u like the first answer says. no matter what i find myself rooting for harry and the rest throught out my journey through the books.

I know what you mean. Ihave fallen in love with the series. And also with Harry himself. I wish it was all real, because it feels so when you read. I have gotten lost in the books, some times even thinking I am there experiencing what is happening. My parents think I'm crazy. Sorry, I was raving. But these are my feelings. I can't explain what it means to me either. But it's a good feeling, and I like it.
(My friends think I'm delousional, except one, who feels the same way)

This is about good and evil. Harry is trying to be the best he can be, and we all want him to succeed, because if he can't, how can we? Let's face it. The world out there is scarey. Between the politicians and the pedophiles, everyone is at risk. Whatever your political beliefs, religious beliefs, or philosophical beliefs, there is a boogy man (read as Lord Valdomort) who is out to get you. Keep the faith. God is good, and is real. You have a purpose in life, and you will find it. Whatever it may be, be the best that you can be, and you will succede.

Harry Potter is a very good series.
Even the movies are good.
Definitely my favorite.

yeah i feel the same way, you're not the only one. Harry Potter is a magical story, it really is. And it always relaxes me, whenever i'm anxious or scared or something.
