We're going into our 6th year since 9-11. Let's do the math:

Terrorists -- zero attacks in the US
Law enforcement -- 88 foiled plots*

*There's actually more, but I don't have time to list all of them, this is as far as I've gotten.

Sounds pretty good to me.

HEY! How come the media isn't putting this out in the news every day? Sounds news-worthy to me!

It depends. First of all, if you mean do they stop coming here, the answer is no, even by conservative news purveyors, new terrorists have been discovered, and thwarted here. Are they less likely to be successful here? probably, but not only because we are over there, but also because we are much more aggressively monitoring all suspicious activity since 9/11 and because most of Europe, Indonesia, China, Saudi Arabia and Israel are also monitoring for terrorist activity on a higher level. Has it had an effect? Yes a twofold effect. In Afghanistan, where terrorist cell activity is still high, and where our initial roundups of suspects has given us the ability to interrogate them and develop more suspects, the effect has been good. In Iraq, it seems to be working the other way around, we are making more suspects than we had before.

You can't blame Bush for this one even as bad as you or many others may want to. People have been free to cross our borders for years providing they meet the right criteria. Those that came over and trained to fly into the towers did so because our country allows immigrants to come here for schooling, medical treatment, etc. Terrorist acts have been performed over here and abroad for many years. Until we deal with immigration in a more strict way,,,we will need to continue and be on guard from those who pose threat to our security.

Yes, President Bush has failed to secure the borders. All kinds of people cross, legally and illegally, every day. Most of them are not terrorists, obviously.
The thing about terrorism is, it doesn't take very many people to make a big impression. Terrorism isn't really fighting, it is attacking defenseless and unsuspecting civilians. This is the horror of it.

Just as the hijackers from the 911 attacks - terrorists assimilate into the society - by dressing & participating in "normal" Americanized activities - such as playing pool, going to clubs, walks on the beach, going out on dates, possible to even be married, anything that will make them appear to be "westernized". They rarely attend anything related to Islam or the muslim religion as this can be considered an alert or red flag depending upon teh individuals behavior. Once they have planted themselves into the society - they move freely and without raising suspicions within our communities - then the attack happens !!!!

ya, president bush failed to secure the border... but then so did you, and everyone else in america.

are you going to support wiretapping terrorists?
how about interrogating them? would it be ok with you if our troops can finally shoot first once or twice?

it would be ok with me if our police were allowed to racially profile people in america who dont speak english, just to ask them for i.d. maybe detain them until their identification is verified. how do you feel about that?

i dont suppose you are ready to boycott businesses that advertise in other languages, or get caught with several hundred illegal workers.. are you... if so you could start with tyson chicken, their plant shut down during the illegal immigrant boycott work day.

if you dont like those ideas, lets hear yours... or just continue complaining, because im sure it seems to you like bush is trampling all over your basic human rights.

i guess in your mind it became the responsibilty of 1 man to stop the illegal immigration and send home the 11 million mexicans already here the exact moment you personally turned on an msnbc news special

up till that moment i thought it was the job of the immigration enforcement division. silly me.

the president also failed to remove snow from my driveway today could you organize a press conference and cry for me too please.

you can now curl up on your cozy little couch and complain about your life some more, i'll see if W wouldn't mind coming over and fluffing up your favorite pillow.

Hey who knows. The US has the tendency sometimes offend people, creating more enemies. The way we're going, we're going to have more terrorists very soon.
