I've always thought about my actions before doing them, and this i know has saved me more than once, but more and more recently thinking too much has been getting in the way of certain things id like to do, im missing opportunities with women that i should take, and not being as successful in my sport simply because im thinking too much about my actions and not doing it by feel. I think i just need to start doing things by feel more, but im not sure how/when i should do that.

You play it safe too much. You probably always wonder what people are thinking about you, or thinking that if you do something wrong it will mess up the way you do things, or you'll regret that decision later.
Start small.. Its good to always think before you do things, but to a point. If theres a woman you think is attractive, you might get shy and not want to embarres yourself and not talk to her. Not go right up and start chatting, because you tell yourself you'll just make a fool and that if you guys are meant to talk she'll talk to you. She may be thinking the same thing! If you go up to her and she turns you down, oh well. Its better to have tried and lost then not to have tried at all. If shes interested.. then woo hoo!

And not just about women, that relates to everything else. Think a little, dont just dive right out into traffic and forget about cars coming right at you. But when you see some book or jacket you want but dont really need, buy it.

you don't.

In sports, you just keep practicing, until your body starts doing the right thing before you think about it.

With women, it really pays to think before making a move, since being with "wrong" woman is way worse than being alone.
If you need courage to make a move that you decided to make, keep in mind that most women like decisive men. Just make sure you say "Do you want to ...?" (gives her a choice), not "Let's ..." (forces your ideas onto her).

When driving, try increasing your rolling stops ... and as a pedestrian, stop looking both ways before entering crosswalks surrounded by heavy traffic.

Do one really big totally arbitrary and crazy thing. Go running outside with nothing but your boxers (or briefs).

You get a thought, do it. Not advisable, but it will take you to your most primitive, natural, and innate state of mind.
