Depend on your dependence on city life, and how far you would be from the big city in Alaska.

If you're the independent type and are comfortable with a walk on the wild side, the north country is the best.

Do you already have a job lined up? Alaska has a higher cost of living then Hawaii does. It does get really cold up there sometimes 50 below zero.
