You must have the powerful beauty of BBC newsreader Sophie Raworth to even be considered.

First you have to get a university degree, then work as a tea-boy/office junior at a well known national newspaper and then work as a reporter/journalist for a number of years to get experience. If you are lucky you could apply to one of the TV companies for a journalist post. Then you start at the bottom again as with the newspaper. You work as a research assistant for a TV program and take other similar posts. If you are fairly young and good-looking you could apply for a minor-presenters` job. Failing that when you are middle-aged you may get a news-readers job.

Sorry !! But it really is that difficult. There are so few of these jobs available, and so many people chasing them. Good Luck anyway. I would really love you to prove me wrong.
