I am 30 weeks pregnant and have not gained a single pound at all. In fact I weigh 1 lbs less than my start weight. The doctors haven't' said anything about it especially since my baby seems to be growing ok. I am currently measuring 4 weeks ahead and a at my last ultrasound my baby weighted 3.4 lbs so as long as your baby is growing you should be ok. Good luck.

Don't diet during pregnancy, make sure you eat a well balanced diet. If you exercise regularly keep it up, but make sure you review you exercise routine with your doc... People will gain weight differently. I gained very little until month 5 and then put on about the same amount every month...

They say that the first trimester you gain 2-5 pounds but I think most ladies lose weight due to morning sickness. i haven't have morning sickness but I haven't gained any weight at all. After that you should gain 1 pound a week. So far that is holding true but I just started the second trimester.

your not suppose to diet and lose weight while pregnant. Any doc will tell you that... i didn't start gaining till my 5th month for my child. But you can exercise.. and sometimes exercise while being pregnant will make you lose weight.. but if you are already underweight or low in weight.. don't try and lose any weight..most ppl have the baby weight come off after the first 6 months after the baby is born...

Well in my first trimester i lost about 5/6pounds
between 12-20wks i put back on the 5/6 pounds plus an extra 4/5
and between 20-28wks my weight hasn't changed at all
so all up i've put on 4/5pounds in my 28wks of pregnancy
but my stomach is still getting increasingly larger! lol. So atleast my baby is growing ok!

Ah, I think it's just terminology. I mean technically it is pregnancy weight, although you gain in when the baby is inside you so you COULD call it baby weight. Although most women are struggling with the extra fat after the baby has been born. So that's referred to as maternal fat stores. (At least according to the pregnancy books). I must be bored too if I'm thinking so hard about it :)

Up till my 5th months I had gained 7lbs..then between my 20 week and my 24 week apt. I gained 10 lbs.I was terrified, but they said it happens sometimes expecially if you dont gain a mich weight at the start, but I didnt have the morning sickness so i didnt actually lose any weight before I began to gain it. But everyone is different Good Luck!

Number One. You should never ever diet when you are pregnant.
You need to eat good food. Remember what you put on, you want to take off. You don't want to gain 80 pounds and have to take it off. It's going to be hard. I wish someone would have talked to me about this when I was pregnant. I always gained like 50 lbs and never ever lost it.
