I'm offended. How can you ban the flag of Australia at any event in that country?

Who do they think they are? Ban the Big Day Out instead.

I agree the Australian flag should be allowed to be showed but not the way it was at the BDO....

I went to the big day out and was disgusted about the way people were showing their flags. People were sitting on them, wearing them as capes one guy even had it tucked into his pants etc.
Fair enough show that your proud of our Flag, but not by sitting on it and wearing it as an accessorie. I think if you don't like our flag, why be in our country - so think we should be able to show our flag and not have people get upset over it. We ARE in Australia.
But it shouldn't be disgraced by being sat on and dragged across the ground.

And anyways BDO should be banned because its crap(not really, but its crap). It's no longer about the music and the bands get more crap every year. Had a crap day until Muse played, they're the only reason i went.

The organisers didn't ban the flag, they never for one minute said the flag was banned. This is the media whipping up the usual frenzy.
