I asked this years ago and spent days searching for it. I finally went to the Library of Congress only to find out he did not have one. God Bless You and Our Southern People.

He doesn't have one. Not many people did back then; most likely because many lived in towns or villages that were small enough that it was nearly unthinkable for people to have the same first name AND surname. Franklin was born in Boston, but the principle still stands.
