My Dad got me the full DVD series of "Victory at Sea", it is very patriotic and it was produced by NBC in 1952 (Even the music is by the "NBC Orchestra"). Does anyone think that NBC will ever do anything patriotic again? They seem to be anti-US to me.

Only liberals think that NBC--and the rest of the media, excluding Fox--is still doing patriotic things. We know better, don't we?

It , seems that NBC and most other news informers have taken up with the rest of the world and choose only to report on the "minority groups" , even if the minorities are destroying the world. I think as long as there are civil libertarians in the media , patriotism will slowly diminish . It is sad how people want to judge america but if the middle east and eastern asian fundamentalist groups were knocking at the borders of their home towns the countries now criticising the U.S. would be screaming for help.
I would like to see america bring back it's patriotic pride on which your great country was built on.
the media needs to remember where they come from and what liberty allows them in the free world.

What have they done that is "anti-patriotic"? Have I missed something? If you have a problem with MSNBC, remember that they are not part of the same division as the one that made those, and was not even around at the time. NBC does not appear anti-American to me.

I thought the "anti-American" channel was supposed to be CBS, with all the "lies" Rather told and all.

I think you should take a logic class or join the debate team (to sit on the sideline and learn. don't plan on participating)

You have constructed an argument supporting a view of NBC being patriotic and then conclude they are not.

Sadly it seems that many Americans define the media as "anti-American" whenever that media outlet reports something they don't like. If you support the war, and the network says the war isn't going well, you take it to mean the network isn't patriotic. But that's not their job. Their job is to tell you the facts, not just tell you the facts you already agree with.

None of the American top networks are "anti-US". What have you been smoking.

The US is a dictator and Americans EXPECT there news reporters to report the news as it happens and not to white wash things like an American version of Pravda. (Pravda was the Russian news paper during the cold war era, famous for toeing the government line).

As an American, you should be very worried, if all your news papers start supporting your government 100% of the time. That would be true anti-americanism.

None of the networks are anti-US. They may not always give us stories that make us feel good, but let's face it....we're doing so pretty awful stuff lately that ought to shame any decent American.

When did it become unpatriotic to point out the amoral actions of your government???

Why are they anti-US?

Because they aren't the Nazi propaganda machine for the Republican party that FOX news is?

The job of news organizations is to report the NEWS. Not to make the president look good and portray the United States as 100% correct in everything they do.
