try thrift stores and walmart. walmart sells a 10 gallon with hood and light and filter for 30 dollars.
you can buy larger used ones on craigslist.com -- if you haven't used it just set it for your hometown and when you search "aquarium" or "fish tank" it will give you lists of people that have them for sale near you. you can also search ebay and set it for "distance:nearest first" in the box that usually says "time:ending soonest".
the tank costs less than all the stuff that goes in it. fish are the cheapest part of the whole thing. crazy huh?

I scored a 300 gallon aquarium for FREE, but that was a fluke, and the glass needed to be polished. Keep your eyes open at the local flea markets and yard sales. You never know when you'll get lucky.

Cheap may not be the best idea. Having gallons of water leak on to your floor and lots of dead fish is no fun. On the other hand, Wal Mart does have a line of aqauriums . . .

Go to your local thrift store in town or goodwill stores
or check the papers they leave at pizza huts with all the sales stuff in it.

EBAY. But DON"T buy a cheap one. It will break easily and if you put fish in it it might leak. Buy a nice one and it will last for years!
