He is overrated, but still a great player and a big part of the Bears defense.

There is the whole rest of the team, but come on...It's Brian Urlacher. The guy has to be the best linebacker in the league. Yes let's not forget the rest of the team. But to say that Urlacher is overrated I think is wrong. He's earned the praise. I think the most underrated is Gould. He's a kicker sure, but man, what a kicker...

Brian Urlacher is a player who not only is the best at his position, but has the ability to motivate the team. He is one of those players who has the ability to lead on and off the field. There is no denying the rest of the team is talented, but it is Urlacher who brings them together. Without him there would be a huge hole, not only in the defense, but in the heart of the team.
I agree with a poster above that Robbie Gould is the most underrated player. He is the best kicker in the NFL.

If you look at when the Bears D was not playing as well as they were it was Urlacher that was not playing well. I think the Bears D starts with him. And yes it is a Team game but he makes a big difference!!! Good Luck to your Bears in the Bowl!!

That guy is not overrated he is agreat defnder and the heart of the defense but there are plenty of other great players on the D. Lance Briggs Charles Tillman Tank Johnson

I'm not even a Bears fan and I think that's a stupid question. There is only one linebacker in football better and that is Ray Lewis. Brian will be in the hall.

how can you not see urlacher playing his heart out every game?
no, he is not THE TEAM...
BUT he is a huge part of it!!!
Urlacher is pretty much everywhere on the field when the defense is playing...
please watch more closely and see the difference that he does!
