My son is a high school freshman and he is taking a senior to a dance. This is not a formal - but she is wearing a dress of some kind - she bought it from TJ Maxx. What does he where. Khaki's? Black pants? tie? It has been awhile since I was in high school and my son is non chalant about it - but I want to make sure he doesn't embarrass her by not being appropriately dressed. Thanks

Dress pants and a button up/ collar shirt. Have him wear a black or a white undershirt and keep the button up, unbuttoned. That way, it's still a little dressy (collar), but still casual (leaving it unbuttoned)

just have him wear a nice pair of jeans with a button down shirt of a fun color....he doesnt need to get too dressed up, but he should still look put together!
