Google Wedding Songs-- there's a list out there for appropriate songs to use for what dance/tradition. That's how I found a lot of our music for our wedding (October, 2006).

Song Recommendation: BECAUSE YOU LOVED ME, Celine Dion

Instead of doing a mother/son and a father/daughter dance.. we did a "Parents Dance" to save time during the reception.(the time FLIES! So as little time as you can spend doing all the quirky tradtions... the more time you have to enjoy your guests and eachother). We ended up cutting a couple of "traditional" wedding things, 1) we both found some to be tacky- 2) we had a lot of fun because we didn't feel like we were on a schedule during our reception. Good luck with your planning! Remember it's YOUR and your HUSBAND (tobe)'s day. Enjoy yourselves

Momma by Boys II Men - A really great song that says how much she means to him. It was in the movie "Soul Food". Check it out. Here are the lyrics.

I'm no Celine Dion fan, but "Because You Loved Me" is a great song to play at a wedding. My sister played it for her dance with my dad but it can work the other way around, too!

Aloha :)
