War films rarely do combat justice, but I enjoyed Apocalypse Now, Blackhawk Down, Das Boot, Hamburger Hill, Stalingrad, and Zulu.

The Band of Brothers series is also awesome.

This is definitely the best submarine movie ever made, in which the screws of suspense are constantly tightened and viewers feel as claustrophobic as its characters.
