Anyone know why the book is called the Chosen?
Cuz for a school project my english teacher gave me to read "things Fall Apart" but now i need this book for extra credit, so I just read the summary of it on sparknotes =) Just curious here !

Though the other answer brings up an interesting interpretation, I have always thought that the title of the book referred to how Danny was chosen to be the next tzaddik in his community, regardless of what he wanted, which was to be a psychologist.

Or how about a simple answer: Jews are considered the "Chosen People".

Also, you reall should read the book. It is fantastic. There is a movie version out that mostly follows the book, but again, the book is much better.

THAT'S A GREAT BOOK!!In my opinion the tittle the chose means that the two people, Reuven and Danny are "chosen" to be friends. They are friends all the way through college, but that's my opinion.
