I agree. I only look in on this list AND answer with, what I hope to be, helpful suggestions for doing the work themselves.

As to the points-- You can't trade them in for food or wine, a ticket to the movies, or airplane seat-- who cares? not me. I'm just hopeful that there is a future for at least some of these possible Einsteins...

Its always nice to get a few pointers. That doesnt necessarily mean theyre answering the ENTIRE question for them. People should realize they need to know how to solve problems because I dont believe you can use yahoo answers when it comes time for a test.

Hmm

well I like to think of it as, if these people have tried their hardest and have no idea of how to do it..
then sure why not give them the answer, but explain it them first too.

Then, with that explanation we gave them in mind, they'll be able to apply it to the other questions that are probably similar.

yes but mostly its just to give people points and its not like they post all the problems just some, if you give them the answer they can guess and check not like they do but somethings come u p, its there loss if they dont learn it they fail the test and retake the class to get out of the class they will eventually learn.

True, but some kids will learn faster if someone gives them a helping-hand to get started.

Because sometimes you can't just figure it out for yourself. I tell someone how to do it as I solve it--but if I see that they're asking a whole lot of problems from their homework, aka they're too lazy to do it instead of it being that they don't understand it--I won't do it.
