I am graduating from high school in June. My mom is having a big graduation party for me at a hall. This party is going to be family only plus my best friend. My school mascot is a Bengal Tiger and the school colors are black and orange. I need ideas for favors, decorations and stuff like that. This is a family oriented party. Also, do you think I should have a DJ or is that too much?

I told my mom that she didnt have to had a big thing, i thought we could just have the close family over for the day or something but she is insisting on having a big party. Probably because it has been a struggle to keep me in school and i have almost dropped out 6 times....

Go all out, get a DJ. If its a hall I don't think you really need to decorate. Get some pretty table clothes(maybe you can get them in your school colors) Do they have an I-Party store where you live? They have a lot of great stuff. You can get balloons in whatever color you want. Also see if you can get either M/M's or jelly beans in those colors and put them in little bags or clear plastic eggs for favors. Your friend could help you get together some photos of you in school and make a big collage that people can see when they come in. I assume the hall is taking care of the food. If not go to Costco's. They are a life saver. Buy frozen meatballs, lasagna, etc. You won't really need desert if you are having a cake. A very easy party favor is to get some candy bars and wrap them in a piece of paper(on the computer print out your name and the date you graduated). I hope you have fun and congratulations.

holy...high school grads have gone a bit elaborate? geez..all i got when i graduated was a card with some money in it (and i think it was 50 bucks!)
