When I recently needed a vacuum, I saw that Consumer Reports ranks Hoover very high. What was interesting, is that at the top of the list, (but not #1) was an inexpensive Hoover with a bag. So, I bought it and it works great - unlike any vacuum I've ever used, even an Oreck. So, while I can't answer about the Hoover bagless, I can tell you that I had a bagless and was disgusted with the amount of dust when emptying the canister and now it's so much cleaner and quicker with the bagged vacuum.

Here's the link for the vacuum at Sears:

YES!!! I've owned a Hoover for about 1 year and it works perfectly. The last 2 vacuums i owned broke down in a few months but the Hoover has not lost any vacuuming power and never gave me any trouble. It is worth the money.

i allways had the ones w/ bags.... bag is a filter too, i think they work better, cause the filters get clogged in the bagless!
