people get concerned when something they regularly pay for seems to go up so quickly in price....especially something they feel is a necessity.

The fact that many people pay for fuel in cash, a week's worth (or more) at a time, makes it particularly noticeable. Even more dramatic is that they stand there, watching the numbers go up and up...the mind tends to fixate on the price of the fuel.

There are a lot of psychological reasons that rising fuel prices cause some people to be stressed or upset.

What I can't stand is that the price of fuel is just a game and we, the consumers, have no say in it. We are just pawns who have to pay the price.

Nothing. It is 1.88 here in Chattanooga. It could be worse, we could be in Europe, where gas is the equivalent of $7.50 a gallon! Now you know why they all ride bikes and drive little tiny cars or diesel-powered cars.

The ups and downs. If I fill up today the price will go down tomorrow and if I wait until tomorrow the price will go up. AGHHH!
