I was in church, yes my bi sexual kind goes to church, and when we were all listen to the priest this guy blows his nose REALLY LOUD. We just got finished with the music and all, it was the worst possible time to do it. So I almost burst out laughing, the fact that I needed to shut up only made it funnier! Why?

it's taht sensation that you're a rebel. you're not suposed to make loud noise, so that temptation is higher...and you laugh

I think it's mostly nerves - it always seems to happen when there are going to be hundreds of disapproving glances coming your way.

It's kinda the same when you feel like crying in a public place - the more you don't want to do it - the more your mind focuses on it because you're trying so hard not to.

LOL ... this question has reminded me of some seriously inappropriate giggling fits that ended up in tears.

I know, i don't get it either!!! i'm really bad when it's completely silent, i get the giggles! here's a quick example: i'd just started high school, and we were having a minute's silence to remember the victims of a massacre a year on. anyway, it was just so quiet and i couldn't help but start giggling. afterward, everyone started saying how coldhearted i was that i thought it was funny and everything, but i didn't, it was just the silence. i don't know why. weird....

Its the way live runs. Its rude but hey in chuch you don't need to look like idiots. I used to sing in the church choir and they didn't even clap after we sang and i was like "HEY WE PUT ON A GOOD SHOW FOR YOU! SHOW US SOME RESPECT AND CLAP! LOL."

It's human to want to do when we are not allowed to do.....If you were allowed to scream at the top of your lungs would you? Yup we would and then we would know that we can scream whenever we want so it becomes boring coz we are allowed. But when we are told to shut up,the urge to speak becomes stronger and we find we want to do the opposite.
