Limewire is not illegal but downloading musics for free is illegal and sometimes without your anti-virus knowing you could get infected with the Limewire virus

I wouldn't worry too much if I were you. Limewire by itself is not illegal. It is a peer to peer filesharing program that does not violate any laws international or otherwise. Granted, downloading copyrighted material is illegal, but of all the cases I have heard about maybe one or two were people who have downloaded only a few songs. By and large the RIAA has only gone after folks with huge libraries of songs. Not all songs are cause for concern though. Alot of mainstream music is vigorously protected, but some music is safe. Alot of of older music falls under public domain and can be downloaded with no problem.
If are worried about it though, you can go delete the songs from whatever directory you saved them at. Just go to the folder you saved the files in and delete the songs. As far as Limewire itself goes you can go to "Add/Remove Programs" in the control panel and delete it from there.
As far as anyone finding out, you're out on that one. It's unlikely but if someone was tracking your downloads there's nothing you can do about it. Fortunately, unless someone specifically targets and saves your downloading habits, there is no way to really track it after the fact.

Well - applications such as Limewire and other p2p applications like Bittorrent, emule etc are not illegal to have on your computer!

It's not illegal to download music. However, it is illegal to share it. Oh the irony! Just move your music to a non-shared file and you'll be fine.

It isn't illegal to share files. Don't be mislead by a corporation attempting to monopolize the music industry. There are probably over 10 million people using it, and I'm sure they wouldn't pick you at random.

yes. any free music downloading is illegal unless it is won. Like one of the radio contests. Limewire is illegal even tho a lot of people use it, but thats because you are in danger of spam and spyware. You are likely to be caught too.
