(2^3 + 8) - 5 * 4 - 5^2...i think that is what you mean

follow BEDMAS
(2^3 + 8) - 5 * 4 - 5^2
= (8 + 8) - 5 * 4 - 5^2
= 16 - 5 * 4 - 5^2
= 16 - 5 * 4 - 25
= 16 - 20 - 25
= -29

My interpretation of your expression is:
2^3 +8 -5*4 - 5^2
= 8 +8 -20 -25 = 16 -45 = -29

2 power of 3 = 8
8 + 8= 16
5 * 4 = 20
5 p 2 = 25
16 - 20 - 25 = - 29

WELL i punched it in to my ti 83 and the answer was -29
. but to be honest im a tad unsure whether i was punching in the right equation lol
