What do you mean by "infested?" About how many do you think are in your house?

I live in south Florida, and have thousands of perfectly harmless lizards in the yard. Occasionally one or two happen to find their way in the house. Usually they end up dying because of lack of food, so if I'm able to catch one, I'll put it back outside where it can eat as many bugs as it wants.

Whatever you do, don't grab them by the tail because the tail will come right off and you'll still have a lizard running around the house.

They won't hurt you, so there's no reason to be afraid of them. I've been around them for 32 years now, and never had one bite me yet. They are probably more afraid of you than you are of them, which is probably why it's so hard to catch them. They are really quick. In fact, I have 2 that I last saw in the kitchen, but when I tried to catch them, they were too quick and ran into the garage. I can only hope they find their own way outside again.

How To Kill Lizards

The ONLY way to get rid of your lizards is to move to a climate that can't support them. Find somewhere that gets cold during the winter and you won't have this problem. (welcome to florida, now go home.) ;)
Really, you have lizards because you have insects. Sit out on your back porch one day when it's warm and watch them for a while, they're fun, they fight, they chase each other, there's love triangles, it becomes a soap opera. I was watching them catching FLIES a while back! AMAZING!! I've watched them eat cockroaches that you wouldn't think they could choke down. I watched a green anole grab a wasp one day! And not get stung! They're miniature dinosaurs running around in your yard. You want them out of the house, make sure you have no gaps under your doors or around your screens, or anything like that, but even then, there's no way to completely lizardproof your house, it would be like making it bugproof.
If you want rid of them, get rid of ALL your plants and all your bugs. Problem solved.

Are you serious? Come on now!
I am sure I can picture your house. You have flowers, trees, and shrubs touching your house. The best living environment for insects and lizards. You have at least 3 to 4 cans of Raid in different rooms. (To spray the palmetto bugs that are going to die inside your house anyway.) And, you probably have poorly sealed doors and windows.

Lizards are eating the bugs that are at your house. Now, I know that other people have told you this, and you are probably saying, "I don't have any bugs!" Well of course you don't see them! The lizards are eating them!!! So, you have to ask yourself...Which is worse? Having lizards around don't their part to control the pest population or having a Australian Roach climb up your closet door (and you can hear his little legs tap, tap, tapping as he climbs) then glide over to your bed and land on your head in the middle of the night?

The only reason lizards are around, is because there are insects for them to eat. Get rid of the insects and you get rid of the lizards. Lizards are great pest control. We like having them around our house.

Reading the publication instead of viewing the movie is the ultimate way to see what the writer expected. Reading uses your creativity, hones your reading skills, and can increase your vocabulary
