It sounds as though there is something metal that is coming in contact with the microwaves (which are simply a high-frequency form of radio waves). I'd guess that somewhere, the shielding has gotten bent, or has become dislodged. The sparks are kind of scary, but they're effectively harmless; nevertheless, if you have any doubts, it's probably easiest to replace the oven, given their low cost. Repairing most microwaves would cost more than replacing them.

Sparks from a microwave means the rays are being reflected by a metalic substance. Maybe some aluminum foil you did not see or a simple gold decorative gold or silver stripe on a plate

that happens if there is any steel in it, or if your microwave is broken, and once you microwave CD's. i assume you weren't microwaving CD's on the time, so if there grow to be no steel (verify the container the chocolate grow to be in), it extremely is probably broken... merely positioned a bowl over some simmering water on the range. it extremely is not likely that a lot slower, and greater truthfully controlled, as long as you do no longer permit the water touch the backside of the bowl. and that i promise there is not any longer any lightening!

Get a new one. It will cost about as much to fix as it would to buy a new one. Sounds like you have a wire that is grounding itself or there is some metal that is showing where the waves can access it. Just get rid of it.

There must be something metal in there. The metal racks are designed not to cause sparks, so discount them.
