What is the best way to get into Harvard?

I am a rising ninth grader and I would like to know what I should do in order to get into Harvard. [please give me detailed and specific answers]

Always get over or above a 4.0 , participate in as many clubs, sports and extra curricular activites as possible. Participate in student government, the year book, drama, summer programs. take college courses in high school, try and T.A. (teachers aid) do things that no one else in school is doing. Start a fundraiser, organize charity events. Start cooresponding with some of the faculty at harvard. Ask advice or make up some bullshit reason to talk to them but make sure they get to know you and what you're about. So when you apply you can mention you have a relationship with the faculty. Ace your SAT's and get a few killer letters of recommendation, That's all!

I feel that you're taking the wrong approach to this. There is no formula (or "Detailed and specific" plan) that will get you into Harvard. Of course, the students are similar in many regards: high standardized test scores, many extracurriculars, and usually, a pretty amazing work ethic when the need arises.

From experience, I can say that the best way to get into any Ivy is to simply be passionate, involved, and motivated. Never give up. Reach above standards ... redefine standards. Do what has never been done, and don't be afraid to reach beyond what is considered 'normal'.

AP, AG, GT, or accelerated classes
Take the AP exams
Take both the SAT and ACT
3.8 GPA or higher (strive for higher than a 4.0)
