People at work, random people, everyone just think it is sooo great to be rubbing on my belly. Sometimes they even go for a pat or a shake, I have asked them over and over not to do that. Do I have to get a maternity shirt that says, "Touch my belly and I beat you" That is my baby in there, not a toy, I HATE PEOPLE TOUCHING ME HOW DO I GET THEM TO STOP! Ive tried it all!

i think the shirt is a great idea. You could try concelaing the baby. or place automatic punching machines which detect movement using beta radiation. OR just dont go out until the baby comes out.

Hahah... your further along than me. And I'm getting that too. I'm only 9 weeks and showing. Everyone is touching my belly....it's getting very annoying. Yes I like what you said "That is my baby in there, not a toy" Well yeah you should get a shirt. There are some shirts like that. I don't know what stores are near you but in the malls there are a lot of maternity stores with shirts like that. = ]] Good luck hun.

My friend got a shirt that said
"Step away from
the belly"
(no touching)
I loved it!!! She wore in public ALL the time. People you know should respect your wishes.
I've never understood why people think it is okay to touch PG woman. I can't remember the last time I saw a guy with a six pack and rubbed his belly!!! Hmm, maybe I'm onto something here LOL!!!
On the bright side, its temporary...then you get to deal with sickly people touching your baby!!! Strangers NEVER kiss a babies hands and feet, they always go in the baby's mouth!! Now that got to me bad when my son was an infant!!!! I'm a germ freak!!

I actually told the women at work if they touched me one more time i was pressing charges. Which would work for inappropriate behavior. But then sometimes I use to smack their fingers..lol. I like HATE people touching me..personally I hate people saying ahh look your getting a belly...and stuff like that i said how would you feel if everytime I noticed you put on weight i brought it to everyones attention. But Good Luck some people are just stupid and dont get the hint.

I had a complete stranger come up to me at Target and rubbed my belly--I looked up and touched her breast. She gave me a look and asked me why I did that. I told her that I thought we were inappropriately touching people. She walked off really fast.
Another thing, when you see the hand headed for your belly, grab it and shake it like you're just meeting them. They'll be stunned, but they will get the hint. If they don't, slapping is completely appropriate.
A pregnant woman's belly is NOT public property!

Try bracing your belly when people stop to chat, because they will definitely reach for it. This is the only thing that worked for me.
It's really not very nice of people to do that, and I hated it when people did it to me. I once saw a shirt (this is after I had my baby of course) that said "No Touching!" Gosh, I wish they had that when I was pregnant.

awww sorry you feel that way. maybe when someone reaches for your stomach you could just step back a little or sidestep and just tell em you're not comfortable with people touching you. this may work for people you work with but not for random people. they'll be the ones you need to threaten j/k. i remember when I was pregnant with my first son. he would poke his foot straight out and you could see it move across my belly. I was ok with family and friends touching but random people......No Way!
You should get one of those shirts with the Pillsbury dough boy that says Poke me and Die! that might tell people you dont wanna be touched!

When I was pg for my second child I had 5 shirts air brushed in different colors saying
"Ever had a black-eye?
Touch my belly and see the lightning!"

i know how you feel everyone thinks they can touch your belly i usually tell them off i keep my arms around mine (as far as they will go lol) plus my baby will only kick for certain people anyway don't think he will be much of a people person i tell them "oh that means he doesn't like you" they believe me and it has worked believe it or not!

OMG i hated that too. someone even had the nerve to actually lift up my shirt and rub my belly! i slapped her hand
