I find this question confussing - yes a sock needs a hole to go over the foot. So to answer it truthfully - Yes. But if the person is refering to holes in the bottom of the sock or anywhere else on the sock and if they are refering to wearing the sock on the intented part of the body then my answer would also be yes.

No cuz i've heard that if you wear socks with holes in them, you get bad luck with money--like your good fortune escapes through the holes!

No, especially if the hole is where a toe belongs. I can't stand it and I also can't see how people where the socks with spots for each toe to fit into.

Yeah, but I get annoyed with socks that have holes in the toes cause my toes always get caught in my shoes.

socks are too cheap to go around with holes in them. There is no excuse.
