i CAN SEE where you are coming from but the brand new bathtub, the trips to the salon twice a week, the extra back and foot rubs, the midnight dashes to the grocery store and the support I got from him deserve alot!

You know i also have been thinking about doing this for my fiance - my fiance has been such a support and so very understanding so far and i think he deserves a little something special too. I'm only 28wks so a bit to go for me but i haven't been easy to be around this past 28wks! lol. And he has been so great.

I really like the idea of a t.shirt or something that says
"I'm a daddy!"
Then babys name, birth-date, weight, length etc - any other details you want to add.

My fiance is so excited and thrilled about this baby that i think for him something like this would be the perfect gift... or maybe the "I'm a daddy" and picture of baby underneath. Something along those lines anyway is what i'm thinking.

Congrats and i think it is wonderful you want to do something for your husband.. they do get put through alot with pregnancy too don't they? lol.

You should put together a little "gift basket" for him. Fill it with items he can use with his child. A throw to cover them both on the couch when they are up late..... A favorite DVD to watch while up late under the throw. A favorite CD to listen to with his new child (or dance with his new child to). I like the idea of a personalized onesie for the baby. Have one of your friends or family make one while you are still in the hospital....have it made wtih the first picture of daddy holding his child. An engraved picture frame for either his desk at work....or his bedside table with that first picture!!!

Forget what everyone else says.....it is important to involve daddy in the sentiment of the occassion!! This is his pregnancy,too....and he deserves to be treated nicely and with love. You should never skip out on an opportunity to show love....

My Dear,
It should be the other way round.
Your husband should be the one to surprise you with a gift as you have rightly mentioned that he already have a "Bundle of Joy".
Don't overdo things. As for now take care of the baby.

I say something like a onesie or hat for the baby that says I LOVE DADDY. My sister got my hubby a BIG DOG tshirt and a onesie that said LITTLE DOG. But, she gave it to us before he was born...

PS: I know what your saying...
But, he should be doing that for you. Your carrying his child :) This is a time for you to be pampered, because afterwards your life will forever be changed!! Enjoy it while you can.

Now this is a hard one for me. The way I see it, WE should be getting a gift, since we have to do the labor and delivery. ;)

I've heard of husbands buying the wives a "push prize".
But, I've never heard of a woman going through 10 months of pregnancy and labor, AND THEN getting the husband a gift.
