I have very high blood pressure, and when it was untreated it gave me very bad acid stomach. When I got my blood pressure under control, my acid problem went away. My doctor told me that they can be related.

Not really. Things like pain, anxiety, etc can elevate your blood pressure, but the indigestion may be coming from the HBP rather than causing it. The best thing to do is to talk to your doc about the symptoms youre having, since indigestion is a common symptom in women having heart trbl. They will probably need to do some blood work and maybe even an EKG to see what the underlying problem really is. Good Luck Hun :)

Yes I agree that tamarind reduce high blood pressure. I have read a post way back then that tamarind have shown it to be effective in reducing blood pressure and blood cholesterol. The fiber content in tamarind certainly has something to do with the reduction in cholesterol, since it is known to scrap excess LDL cholesterol from the veins and arteries. Furthermore, the potassium in tamarind may be responsible for the reduction in blood pressure, since it is known as a vasodilator that reduces the stress on the cardiovascular system. The impressive level of vitamin C in tamarind also may have something to do with it as well, since vitamin C is an antioxidant compound that can reduce the impact of free radicals, those pesky byproducts of cellular metabolism that have been linked to heart disease and a number of other health problems.
