I am a 29 year old female. I am always getting put down. I am so sick of it. Mostly by females. My mother makes up stories when she is jealous of me. My friends husband puts my looks down in front of his wife. My husbands mother is always rolling her eyes at me the only time she likes me is when i dont wear makeup and i dont smile. my sisters wont call me at all. i went over my aunts hosue and my two aunts were telling me i have bags under my eyes and i look like edith bunker. I am pretty i am a model and yet i am always getting put down and i am sick of it. my girl friends come and go. they get mad at me if people give me free gifts and they have a fit. always getting negitive things said to me. i get called ditzy and a d---- bag. my family talks bad about me before i even come home for christmas. why are people this way so mean and hurtful. mostly the women. if the women dont like me they turn their husbands against me

sounds like they are jealous. I'd just stay away from all those people that only have bad things to say about you and then when or if they want to know why, just tell them the truth. Tell them that all their comments are hurting your feelings and you're not going to be their doormat any more. Stand up to them and find some one that really sees the real you, the beautiful you inside and out and show them that you don't have to take all their ridicule.

It is because you are pretty and they are jealous of you.
PERIOD!
I expect that from catty females. They are insecure about their own relationships and dont want their husbands attracted to you but your mother is puzzling.
But just know that the problem is with them and NOT YOU!
keep being yourself and eventually you will meet people that make you feel good about who you are. The ones that dont should be avoided as often as possible.
If this xmas you feel as if you are going to be put down, instead of a 5 day visit make it 2.
Dont confront any of them (they will just deny it anyway) just say that you are really busy.
The less time you spend around these jealous and insecure people, the better you will feel.
p.s. Any way you can join a modeling agency or someplace else where other people that are pretty hang out. They can all relate a bit better to what you are going thru and can offer you some better advice

If you are a model? That is why people hurt you, they are intimidated by your looks! And I see that sort of reactions towards beautiful Lady's all the time. If a woman See's some one who they feel would be a threat to them over there man. The first defense is to talk bad and try to turn the man against the threat. As far as your family go's I would say they are jealous of you and the attention that you get. but don't let it bother you, be true to yourself, treat everyone the way you would want to be treated then if they still treat you like sh*t say to yourself they are shallow and brush it off!

Hmmmmmm sounds like the people in your family and their friends are a little jealous of you but that is how I see it.Me myself I am not a big fan of people so as long as they stayed away I would be happy as hell.First thing you need to do is drop the husband if he is not supportive of you and talks trash about you and lets other people get away with it thats a bunch of crap.Get some new friends that would not treat you like dirt.You are 29 years old you are young enough to start over in your life and it seems to me that is what you need to do.People are just ignorant and always will be that way of people that are a little different then them.

Some women can be very petty, putting other females down is the only way they can make themselves feel better. These women are insecure and lacking in self-confidence.

Sadly, it seems as if most of the females in your family have this problem or they wouldn't feel the need to put you down. Instead of being proud of you and supportive, they treat you badly to make themselves feel better.

My suggestion to you would be for you to surround yourself with more "positive" people. People who are successful and confident don't feel threatened by other successful and attractive people.

If you are very pretty, then the women may be very jealous and worried their husbands might take a shine to you so they have to slate your character.

As for your friend's husband putting your looks down in front of his wife....Hmmm I wonder whether he thinks you quite fanciable but to put his wife off the scent he does put downs??

If you are convinced that every woman you know hates you, then you need to talk to a counselor. Health insurance covers a lot of it. If you don't have health insurance, there are therapists available through the state. Get help.
