So the problem is, It is the end of the semester and the clubs at school are recording their profits. The Science Club started out with $20 and has increased its balance by an average of $10 per week. The Computer Club saved $5 per week, but started out with $50 at the beginning of the semester. The Math Club was just formed this year and managed to raise $15 per week.

I'm trying to figure out the equation for the computer club. can you tell me if this equation is right or wrong, y=50-5x? yes, no?

The answer is y=50+5x. It is a plus because the CC SAVED $5 per week, so this amount should be added to their account.

IF x is the number of weeks:
Computer club is y = 5x + 50
Math Club y =15x
Science Club y = 10x + 20

Number of Weeks = X
SC- 10x+20= Y
CC- 5x + 50= Y
MC- 15x = Y
It should be plus 5x, not subtracting 5x for the computer club.
