There are certain areas of the world where Islam is the main religion. You'll have to do some research to find out which countries have Islam as their main religion. I can't tell from your question whether you mean it is the dominant religion today, or if you are talking about another time, as in many years ago.

Muslims practice the religion of Islam, so you will want to find out which countries have mostly Muslims living in it so you will know which countries have Islam as the main religion.

In those countries where Islam is the main religion, how do people feel about themselves and their relationship with the world? What do they think their purpose is in this world? What do they think they should contribute to this world? How should they act about the rest of the world? How do they feel about other people and other religions?

This page tells you a little about how Muslims feel about certain topics. Maybe it will give you some ideas of what else to research.

It does not matter whither Islam is the dominant religion in a certain area or not. Here are some fundamentals:

Muhammad, prophet of Islam, said : "You all cameforth from Adam, and Adam is created from dust" , meaning we are all equal Muslim and non-Muslim

The second Calif, Umar Ben Al-Khattab, said : "How would you enslave people though they are born free?", emphasizing that we are all born free and nobody has the right to enslave anybody. He also said; "We are all equal as the teeth of a comb", again equality is emphasized.

The Quor'an says: "Everybody is acountable for his own deeds", emphasizing responsibility.

The quor'an says: "No compulsion in religion", emphasizing freedom of choice, "Deal with them in the best way", setting a nice way for human interaction.

In addition, the Quor'an states that we have the right of "An eye for an eye", but also states that if we forgive, then we will be better in the eye of God. again freedom of choice.

Also the word Islam means "submission" to the Almighty God, and a Muslim means "submissive" to the Almighty God. So if you are only submissive to God, this entails that you are not submissive to anybody else. FREEDOM emphasized again.

The above is just few things, But allow me to ask why do not you go to the liberary and find out. This web is full of *****h who may influence you by their stupid opinions, Muslims and Non-Muslims alike, exaggerators who get carried away by either their hatred or their love towards the religion.

Good Luck!

PS: SAYING could mean the prophet of Islam's saying, which in other cases is refered to as "tradition".
