Ok, so I got talking with my grandfather. He basically said that as everything in the world is in a constant state of decay there is no present.

Because as soon as you think about the present, it becomes the past during the time it takes for the neurones to transmit. etc

Therefore, there is only past.

Then again, there's always future...

Technically, there is ONLY THE PRESENT !!!
Where is the 'past' or the future, except in the mind, or memory ?
Yes, true, we can 'think' about the present only 'as a past' thing.
Every thought it about the past, or the projection of 'future' again in the past....
That is precisely why there is a very vast complex system about how to be REALLY in the present (not just 'for' the present) !!

The past is in the past; it no longer exists. The future is in the future; it has yet to exist. The only thing that exists is now, the present.

When your grandfather talks of something decaying, it is not decaying in the past or future, it is decaying in the present. If there was no such thing as a "present", where would this decaying take place?

There is ONLY the present! The past is gone, the future isn't here yet.
The problem is that we spend so much time and energy thinking about the past and worrying, planning for the future that we're almost never right here in this very moment.
And that's so sad because it's only in this very moment that we're truly alive.
So I disagree with your grandad. (And I'm a great-grandad - so I know everything!. . . Well, alright, I know some things.)

I agree with Josh, everything is decaying. Take `Super novas`, the re-birth planetary systems. Everything is re-born. Psychologically specking, there only the present, the future is anticipated, + the past is dead and gone.

Yes, it is anxiety. The Judgment is negative, the Will is positive. The here-now is a one over infinitie duration. Everything is in a constant state of decay and renewal. It is eternity.

Uh....i'm a touch wondered through your question. the purely section I understood become the first actual (substantial) question, so i will target to respond to that. First God does no longer modern himself interior the likeness of people. people were made interior the 'image' of God, no longer in his likeness. (Genesis a million:26) this signifies that people have the ability to reflect his characteristics to particular degree, like: love, justice, understanding, empathy and so on. also his day of 'relax' become no longer something else that people want to get properly. God rested in that he purely discontinued his resourceful works for a particular time period. purely because the Bible says he has 'an abundance of dynamic ability'. so as that textual content for sure has yet another more suitable major meaning. The remark you made about 'ability no longer feeling, and under no circumstances love'.....what? No it particularly is purely no longer real. And Jehovah God spoke to Moses so as that he ought to understand, also understand that God gave us language, we did not purely create on our personal. yet maximum heavily Jesus isn't God, because the Bible under no circumstances teaches that he's. Luke 4:8 shows that Jesus himself reported that that is Jehovah God you should worship and that is to him by myself you should render sacred provider. Jesus himself under no circumstances taught that he become God, yet truly he obviously taught that Jehovah God become his Father (John 14:28) The Trinity is a pretend non secular training, very reminiscent of hellfire, the bypass, christmas, idol worship and so on.
