Take into consideration all of his injuries, and in a way this is his rookie season. So no. He's a work in progress. He makes a lot of mistakes that a young QB would make but I think eventually he will be a respectable QB.
Also, don't forget he has had some spectacular games this year as well. I'm not saying that makes up for the bad games but it does show that there is a hint of promise there.
But as for this year, the Bears didn't make it to the SB with Rex as their QB but rather in spite of Rex as their QB.

Well he can't be stupid, he directed his team to a 14-2 record, and has them in the Super Bowl. So, pointing out that one error against his accomplishments makes the mistake seem trite.
