Why does COMELEC imposed a 6 months gun ban? Don't you think its too long?

COMELEC is evil and evidently wants to protect criminals. All gun bans are too long.

It's easy. The bad guys know there is a six month window in which to commit all the crimes they want without fear of getting killed! COMELEC must be getting kickbacks from the criminals.
