Glory was outstanding and starred Matthew Broderick, Morgan Freeman, and Denzel Washington. Other cast members were amazing. Denzel's performance is unforgettable. This movie particularly pays homage to the African American soldiers who were never adequately acknowledged as they bravely fought and died in the Civil War to win their freedom. Great movie based on fact.

Educationally speaking - Glory
Entertainment speaking - Gone with the Wind is another good one
Little Women also takes place during the war, but with little focus on the war.

Kings and Generals i think is the name, its about Robert E. Lee fighting for the confederates after he switched sides from being a union general because he couldnt fight against his home state of Virginia.
