Sweetie, I was in middle school when that was popular. How old r u? I hate 2 tell u 2 b disobidient, but if her reasons 4 u not being allowed 2 watch is she doesn't want evil spirits in her home; watch it @ a friends house.

How old are you? Cuz the best part of watching horror movies when you're "underage" is sneeking over to a friends house and watching it there. I remember Nightmare, it's totally not scary, well except maybe one scene.
Good Luck

Calmy explain to your mom that you feel you are responsible enough to watch a horror movie. You've probably showed her you were mature and responsible on more than one occasion and remind her of that.
Thats what I did to my mom when I was smaller. She didn't think I was old enough to stay out later, but I explained to her if I'm responsible enough to babysit and care for the life of a child then I'm old enough to go to a late night movie showing.

Tell your mom that it is an old movie and it is not half as scary, gory or grotesque as the movies that are out now... That should work with all the sequels too....lol
