Not if you care anything about judicial activism which McCain helped mightily to preserve for the Democrats.

He trashed the First Amendment with his so called reform.

There is no issue he won't flip flop on to please the newspapers. He loves the attention to much.

I will not vote for him under any circumstances even if it means the Clintons are back. The man has made an enemy out of me.

Besides, he is to old.

I really don't know. I do know that he USED to be his OWN type of Republican, but about a year ago he started to shift in a way that would appeal to Bus-type conservatives.

I found that disappointing. While I'm a Democrat, IU had a lot of respect for him. I still do, but nowhere near as much as when he campaigned on his personal beliefs, not those of his party. I believe that he can/could be one of those candidates that appeal across the board, but I'm not so sure he'll be able to do that anymore.

I think that, to be a real Republican or Democrat, you have to believe in what you believe, and not "shift" to try to appeal to more people.

Sure he is if there really is such a thing. The Republican party is way different than it was when it was founded. Of course so is the Democratic Party.

This is a very interesting question. My thoughts are that you can say that you are a member of a political party however you do not have to necessarily have to believe every thing. You can have opinions that are on the other side of the political spectrum. I consider myself to a member of a particular party however a couple of my opinions are different than that of my party, however the things that a feel most strongly about coincide with my parties beliefs.

There are no real Republicans anymore. They're all big-government Democrats in disguise. And the Dems have turned into Socialists.

There are only Rinos and Dinos, and each day I get older and crankier and start appreciating Michael Savage more.

Yes, he is. If you feel otherwise, what criteria do you use to determine who's really a Republican or not?

(And yes, I already know how you feel about Gov. Rell.)
