Contact the post office right away and let them know. Plus contact all the busninesses that the mail was suppose to go to and let them know. If isn't out of the realm of possiblity that your mail could have been stolen. So check with your bank if you wrote checks for your bills and see if your account has been used by someone other than you. If you had credit card info on anything contact the credit card company too and let them know that your account info could have been compromised. There are on line sites where you can check if anyone has tryed to get other credit cards in your name but with a different address. There are probably other sites that could give you advice on what to do in case someone is trying to steal your identity. Please do it as soon as you can. Time isn't your freind when something like this happens. Good Luck.

It is quite possible that your mail was lost. If it was sent through the US Postal Service, here is what to do:

"When First-Class Mail® does not arrive, we have no sure way of knowing what may have happened to the item. Only Registered MailTM and Express Mail® items are accounted during their entire journey through the mail system. However, we encourage you to file a complaint of your non-received mail with us.

If expected mail has not arrived after a reasonable amount of time (we suggest you wait at least 14 days from its date of mailing), please fill out PS Form 1510, Mail Loss/Rifling Report. This form is available at your local Post OfficeTM. Another option you have is to contact your local Consumer Affairs office.

Whichever way you choose, a Postal employee will assist you in completing your inquiry. Specifics will be directed to the Inspection Service Operation Support (ISOS) office for the state in which the article was mailed."

Good luck!

If you don't decide to pay bills online, I would suggest going to the Post Office or a local Mail Center to mail important things (I don't ever put anything in my mailbox that has checks in it). People can and do steal from residential boxes. That is one way identity theft occurs.

I would contact your post office and don't put bills in your personal mail box. The mail might have been stolen for the checks. I would put a stop payment on the checks and walk your mail in to the post office. Sorry I know it sucks!!!
