I saw it yesterday and I believe it is the best performance I have ever seen in the cinema. I have always liked him and it is so nice to see him in a role where he can finally show his true talent.
I would highly recommend this film to anyone. Oscar all the way.

I just saw it a few days ago. It was brilliant.
I think Oscar all the way too.
What I thought was great was at the end when they show pics of Idi Amin - I heard people wondering whether that was Forest Whitaker or if it was real picks of the dictator. To be that unsure says something of an actor.
I also though James McAvoy did a great job. The role of Amin was more demanding on audiences, but the performance of McAvoy - brought me in to the film.
