My grandparents raised me. I was a 'grandpa's' girl. Lost him in 1989. I probably miss him like you miss your dad. What a loss, huh?

My nine year old is COMPLETELY daddy's girl. She has been since the moment she was born. She's the light of my little life. I'm dreading the day when (like my teenagers) she's old enough that she doesn't want to be seen with dad.

I suspect that our relationship is a little hard on my older daughter (from my first marriage) that recently came to live with us. I'm not really sure what (if anything) I can do about that. Maybe that would be a great topic for a Y!A question. Thanks for the inspiration!

Yep-always have been!! It's always gonna be this way. Of course I was also spoiled by my mother as a child. It was one of those, if mom said no, ask dad & Vice versa. I was pretty use to getting everything I wanted.

Of course now....married, children of my own...lets just say karma is a *****! lol

P.S. I'm sorry to hear about your dad! :( Just think that no matter what though...he is ALWAYS still with you.

I used to be also. I loved my father and he treated me like his
little princess when I was a little girl. Later I ended up taking care
of my father when he was sick and before he passed away by that time my little niece , his grand daughter was the world to him.
I am glad that he had a chance to get to know my niece and
nephew who was his little buddy. My father passed away in
1998 and I miss him terribly.

I miss him every day and life is not the same. You know what I mean. ;-(
I miss my dad. He was also the glue that held the family together. My mentor.
